| Kings Norton Junction sees the beginning of the Stratford upon Avon canal where it leaves the Worcester and Birmingham. At the foot of the junction is a rather attractive canal cottage which is still lived in and well maintained. This building is one of a few that align this stretch of water, all of them I should imagine could recall a few stories of days gone. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| A little more than half a mile from the junction is Kings Norton Green, a medieval manor since the 15th century. Once the property of the King and full of old and interesting buildings, the Green remains more like a village today, considering its more or less in the center if Birmingham. One of the oldest buildings is the old grammar school a partly timbered building which was still in use until the late 1800's. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
